Ahmed Farrah, aged 31, is believed to hold vital information about the death of 21-year-old Kavan Brissett, who was stabbed on August 14, 2018.

Despite repeated police appeals for information on his whereabouts and a £5,000 Crimestoppers reward for information leading to his arrest, Farrah remains at large.

His friends, relatives and acquaintances across the country have been visited and served with harbouring notices, warning that anyone found shielding him faces arrest and prosecution.

Kavan was stabbed when violence flared on the Grammar Street car park, Upperthorpe.

After being knifed in his chest, the promising young boxer managed to walk a quarter of a mile before collapsing in Langsett Walk, where he was found by a passer-by.

Kavan died in hospital four days later.

Detectives want to speak to Farrah after he was captured on CCTV at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, where he was treated for facial injuries, on the night that Kavan was stabbed.

He returned to the hospital the following day but then disappeared.

It is believed he was injured in the same incident in which Kavan was knifed.

Farrah, who is also known as ‘Reggie’ and has links to Broomhall, was last seen in Cardiff the month after Kavan’s death.

His passport has never been recovered.

Anyone with any information about the murder should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 827 of August 14.
