Thamraze Khan was jailed on July 7 for life with a minimum of 15 years behind bars after being found guilty of murdering his brother Kamran Khan during an alcohol-fuelled argument in November 2020.
Sheffield Crown Court heard how the brothers had attended a house party at Lowedges Road, Sheffield, and afterwards headed to Thamraze's flat on Club Garden Road, Sheffield, outside which Kamran was found in a pool of blood in the early hours of the following morning.
Thamraze, 31, denied having anything to do with his brother's death but police found an injury to Thamraze's right hand and there were signs of a disturbance, blood within the property, blood-stained clothing and evidence he had tried to clean up inside the flat. A knife, thought to be the murder weapon, was also discovered. Photo: SYP

Jamie Patterson-Smith and Joseph Dean were part of a cruel gang of yobs who terrorised and tortured a vulnerable young man while filming a revenge attack.
Sheffield Crown Court heard on April 30 how Jamie Patterson-Smith, aged 19, of Page Hall Road, Sheffield, and a 17-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, subjected the complainant to abuse with three friends before he was attacked.
James Baird, prosecuting, had told a previous hearing the complainant had visited the room of fellow resident Joseph Dean at the Covid-19 supported hotel accommodation, on Montgomery Road, Nether, Edge, Sheffield, when he was targeted by Patterson-Smith, the 17-year-old girl, Dean, a 17-year-old male and 18-year-old Emily Hood.
The complainant was targeted after he had allegedly referred to the two girls as tramps and slags, according to Mr Baird, and the complainant’s bag and mobile phone were taken.
Patterson-Smith, who has one previous conviction, pleaded guilty to false imprisonment and robbery and the other defendants pleaded guilty to robbery after the incident on July 23, 2020, which lasted about an hour.
Patterson-Smith was sentenced to five years and seven months in a Young Offender Institution and Dean was sentenced to five years and four months of custody.
