Suspects still on the run five days after stabbing in Sheffield

Two suspects wanted over a stabbing in Sheffield five days ago remain on the run.

Officers want to quiz them about an incident on Nodder Road, Woodthorpe, at 10.20am on Thursday, May 6 in which a 39-year-old man was stabbed during an altercation with three others outside a shop.

South Yorkshire Police said after the stabbing the three involved in the disturbance caused extensive damage to the victim’s vehicle and fled in a white Audi.

Emergency services were deployed to the scene and a police pursuit was mounted as officers attempted to stop the vehicle.

It failed to stop and was abandoned on Castlebeck Avenue, where the occupants fled.

A 17-year-old girl was later arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

She has been bailed while police enquiries continue.
