The baby boy suffered a cardiac arrest in a house in Great Houghton on Friday, November 30, 2018, and died in hospital on Monday, December 3.

A man arrested on suspicion of murder and wounding over death earlier in the police investigation remains on police bail.

A woman arrested on suspicion of wounding also remains on bail.

Last year, following the arrests, Detective Chief Inspector Mark Oughton, leading the investigation, said: “This is a tragic and extremely complex case.

He said a team of officers continues to work on the case ‘to piece together everything we know about what happened in the lead up to the devastating loss of this baby’.

No other details about the case have ever been released.
