South Yorkshire Police launch investigation after milkman is slashed in robbery

A South Yorkshire milkman was slashed during a street robbery in which his van was stolen.

The milkman was making deliveries on Canal Street, Barnsley, at 6.45am yesterday when he was approached by a man who slashed him and stole his van.

The van, a white Citroen Dispatch, was found abandoned on Lang Avenue, Lundwood, a short time later.
