The youngster, Dallas, saved up to pay for the green Spike BMW using money he received for his birthday in December as well as for Christmas.

It was stolen from his garden, which is fenced off and where it was hidden out of sight, at around 6.45am on Thursday, June 17.

Dallas’ mum said: “I was really proud of Dallas for saving up and wanting to buy his bike, it was the first thing he has ever bought himself.

“Replacing it is not the issue, it is the fact that someone has stolen a young child’s bike and how he has been left feeling.

“Dallas thinks that it must have been someone who knows us because the bike was hidden, so that has left him feeling that he doesn’t trust anyone now.”

“The police haven’t been out to see us yet but I hope they do because I want Dallas to think that somebody cares and that they are doing all they can to find his bike for him. I don’t want him to think that all they do is drive around in their cars,” the mum added.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
