Response squad sent to Sheffield house after police come under attack in Stocksbridge
Police sent a special response squad to a house in Sheffield, after officers came under attack.
Officers had initially been sent to the property in Stocksbridge this morning, to arrests a suspect.

But they called in reinforcements after they began to be pelted with items being thrown at them as they tried to carry out the task.
South Yorkshire Police told the Star: “Officers were deployed to the Stocksbridge area of Sheffield this morning (25 February) to carry out arrest attempts for a wanted individual.
“During these arrest attempts, objects were thrown from a property towards officers, resulting in officers from our tactical support group attending to assist with the arrest.”
They said a 44-year-old man was arrested and remains in police custody at this time.
Local reports had suggested that armed officers had been sent to the scene, but police said this was not the case.
