Managerless Sheffield Wednesday were held to a 1-1 draw by Cambridge United at Hillsborough on Tuesday night.
The visitors had the better chances in the first 45 but The Owls improved at the midway point but couldn’t make the breakthrough.
But they did five minutes after the break when a quick free-kick from Callum Slattery sent Mason Burstow through on goal and he smashed in via the post.
Burstow was denied a second from six-yards out by a stunning save from Jake Eastwood and Cambridge made them pay when Sullay Kaikai drilled in to finish off a counter-attack.
Barry Bannan hit the post with a curling strike as Wednesday tried to get back in front but they had goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer to thank for earning them a point with some smart saves in each half, including two late on in a mad scramble.
The draw keeps Wednesday outside the play-offs after 12 games as the search for a new manager goes on following the sacking of Henrik Pedersen at the weekend.
Here are our player ratings from the game...

1. Ashley Maynard-Brewer 8
Spread himself big to make an impressive close-range block from Bennett. Stayed alert to tip a header from Lavery over and made an important one-on-one save in the last 15 before two more great blocks in a mad scramble. Not much chance with the well-taken equaliser. His saves in each half got The Owls a result. | ugc

2. Yan Valery 6
Made a few positive defensive actions in the first-half but need to liven up going forwards, which he did after the break. | ugc

3. Ernie Weaver 7
His first league start of the season. Thundered into headers and tackles early doors before one loose pass almost proved costly. Could have moved the ball quicker at times in the first 45. Deserves credit for stepping in out of the cold. Hobbled off late on. | ugc
