Police reveal man attacked in Sheffield city centre was stabbed in stomach

A man attacked in Sheffield city centre was stabbed in his stomach, police revealed today.

The 19-year-old was knifed when violence flared in the Carver Street and Division Street area of the city centre at around 4.15am on Sunday, March 1.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains today in a stable condition.

A 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been bailed pending further enquiries.
