He was taken to hospital but could not be saved and later died.

Sheffield Crown Court heard that Lewis was attacked after challenging the 17-year-old over an incident in which his father, Daniel Cutts, was assaulted by the teen.

Three other men Callum Ramsey, 18, of Batworth Drive, Shirecliffe; Jervaise Bennett, 20, of no fixed abode, and Nicki Humphrey, 42, of Avenue Grove, Harrogate, were also alleged to have been involved in the murder but were found not guilty.

They were all said to have been in a car with the convicted teenager when they crossed paths with Mr Bagshaw and his friends and violence flared.

The teenager found guilty of Lewis’ murder is to be sentenced next month after reports ordered by the judge in the case are carried out.

Mr Justice Matthew Nicklin said: “There is only one sentence of life for murder but I have to consider a minimum term for what he has to serve before he can be released.”

Jurors heard the teenager had been involved in drug-dealing.
