Both were transported to hospital but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Detectives investigating the incident are searching for the Astra involved in the crash and its occupants.

No arrests have yet been made over the incident, which resulted in Gleadless Road being sealed off and under police guard last night while enquiries were carried out at the crime scene.
