A warning has been issued to criminals behind cannabis farms in Sheffield following the seizure of plants worth £600,000 in a city suburb.

The plants were found in drug dens on Page Hall Road, Page Hall, last week and led to the arrests of two suspects.

But Sergeant Tony Cartlidge, who leads the Page Hall team, said officers will not stop in their pursuit of those involved in the supply of cannabis in the city.

“We believe that these set-ups are linked to a larger organised crime network, who are exploiting people and turning what should be residential properties into money-making death-traps,” he said.
