“If you witness this behaviour please contact police to report as we are keen to identify those involved.”

Last November police patrols and stop and search operations were mounted in Frecheville in a crackdown on anti-social behaviour following reports that fireworks had been thrown at the swans.

Anyone with information on those involved should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
