South Yorkshire Police search continues for missing man believed to be dead

A police search for a missing man who is now believed to be dead is continuing after two murder suspects were bailed this week.

Two men, aged 43 and 51, were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of murder and burglary as part of an investigation into the disappearance of 58-year-old Richard Dyson, from Barnsley, who has not been seen since November 2019.

Richard was last seen by his 20-year-old daughter Bethany, from Catcliffe, Rotherham, on Friday, November 15 2019 and was reported missing on Monday, November 25 after he failed to turn up for their next arranged meeting.

After initially treating Richard as a missing person, detectives now believe he has been killed but a body has not yet been found.

Earlier this month two other men were arrested on suspicion of murder before being released on bail.
