Police investigate two shootings in same Sheffield street in space of three weeks
and live on Freeview channel 276
Emergency services were deployed to Grimesthorpe Road, Burngreave, just after midnight after members of the public reported the sound of gunfire.
When officers arrived they established that a gun was fired towards a group of men stood together in the street.

Hide AdThree of the men were shot and taken to hospital, although their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A 53-year-old man was shot in another incident in Club Garden Road, Sharrow, around two hours later.
On Thursday, April 16, police officers were called to Grimesthorpe Road after a 21-year-old man was shot in his chest.
He was critically injured in the gun attack and the culprit remains at large.

Hide AdWitnesses described shots being fired from one car towards another.
Two men seen shielding behind the car which was fired at were then seen pulling an injured man from the vehicle into a nearby garden, where he received emergency first aid until police and paramedics arrived to take over.
A nearby care home worker helped to keep the injured man alive as emergency services made their way to the crime scene.
Seven men detained at the scene were later released with no further action to be taken.

Hide AdCommenting on this morning’s shootings, South Yorkshire Police said: “Both investigations are in their very early stages, but we are not treating either of them as linked to any other incidents at this time.”
Police patrols have been stepped up in the wake of today’s gun attacks and crime scene cordons are in place.
Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Henderson said: “I understand the concern that incidents like these cause within the local community, and I would like to reassure everyone that we are doing all we can to build up a picture of the circumstances surrounding both of these incidents. “The investigations are in their very early stages but please know that our enquiries are progressing at pace and we do not believe there to be any risk to the wider public. “
