When South Yorkshire Police officers checked the driver’s documentation they found that the car was on cloned number plates and the driver did not have a licence or insurance.

The motorist was pulled over in Kendray, Barnsley, yesterday.

South Yorkshire Police said: “No, it’s not the latest addition to the SYP fleet, we could never afford a paint job like that.

“Batman was trying to avoid the attention of the police in Kendray by putting a cloned number plate on his vehicle. Luckily our super sleuthing officer didn’t take too much time to get to the bottom of it.

“Batman had swapped the plates to try and avoid paying insurance, oh and again, no licence. Batman walked home, as the car was seized.”
