Number of arrests for drug and immigration offences in Rotherham
Operation Duxford returned to the streets of Rotherham yesterday, with a focus on drugs supply and protecting vulnerable people from exploitation. The targeted crime-fighting operation saw seven warrants executed across the town.
A number of people were arrested on suspicion of immigration and possession of controlled drug offences.

One warrant in Rotherham town saw officers uncover and seize around 300 cannabis plants, and one man was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis.
Officers were also deployed to carry out safeguarding visits to potential victims of exploitation.
Rotherham District Superintendent Sharron Wood said: “Drugs supply and exploitation have no place in our town.
