Mystery man seriously injured in collision in Sheffield

Police officers are trying to identify a man who is being treated in hospital after being seriously injured in a collision in Sheffield.

The man was injured in an incident on Beet Street, Netherthorpe, on Tuesday, March 24.

It is reported that the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was walking the street at 8.10pm when he was struck by a black Skoda Yeti.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he was described as being in a serious but stable condition yesterday.

The man is around 5ft 10ins tall and of a slim build.

He has a distinctive black ink tattoo of a lion’s head on his right forearm.

He was wearing a grey Nike baseball cap with a black tick on the front, a black Nike puffa jacket with a hood and blue Adidas trainers with a white sole.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Do you know a man who fits this description? Have you been in touch with him recently?

“If you have any information that may help our officers find out who this man is please call.

“We are also asking for anyone who was driving in the area at around the time of the incident who may have dash cam footage to also come forward.”

Call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident 667 of March 24.
