Murder suspects prepare for court hearing over death of man after fight in Sheffield

Two murder suspects are due in court today over the death of the man after a fight in Sheffield.

Sean Holt, aged 43 and Richard Ferrie, 44, both of Longley Hall Way, Longley, are set to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court after being charged with the murder of 53-year-old Paul Crossley, who died after a fight.

South Yorkshire Police said officers were deployed to Longley Hall Way after reports of men fighting.

Mr Crossley was found with a serious head injury and was taken to hospital, where he died four days later.

Holt and Ferrie are remanded in custody ahead of their court appearance.

South Yorkshire Police said: “We remain keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, and the events leading up to it.

“If you were on Longley Hall Way or the surrounding area between 8pm and 11pm last Friday, and have information which may help the investigation, please contact us.”
