Murder suspects bailed over shooting of Sheffield solicitor killed near Bramall Lane

Two men arrested over the murder of a Sheffield solicitor have been bailed after police questioning.

The suspects, aged 21 and 23, were arrested on Monday over the fatal shooting of Khurm Javed, 30, who was shot dead on Clough Road, near Bramall Lane, two days earlier.

Mr Javed, who worked for London Road-based law firm Alison Law Solicitors, could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene –triggering a murder probe.

A second man, aged 31, suffered injuries to his foot in the shooting and is now recovering after being discharged from hospital following treatment.

Detectives investigating the incident said a ‘confrontation between two parties’ took place before shots were fired.

Anyone with information about the murder of Mr Javed, who was a married dad-of-two, should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 984 of April 10.
