Special gathering planned for friends and family to remember Sheffield dad Khurm Javed
Friends and relatives of a Sheffield man shot dead in a city street are to remember him and recite prayers at a special gathering tomorrow.
Khurm Javed, aged 30, was killed in a gun attack on Clough Road, near Bramall lane, on Saturday, April 10.
South Yorkshire Police said shots were fired after a ‘confrontation between two parties’.
The solicitor, who worked for London Road-based law firm Alison Law Solicitors, was a married man with two young children, on whom he is said to have ‘doted’.
The gathering to remember Khurm is to be held outside St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane, at 3pm tomorrow.
Two men, aged 21 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday and remained in police custody last night.
Police patrols have been stepped up in the wake of the gun attack.
Witnesses or motorists with dashcams who were in the area on the night of the killing are urged to come forward.
