A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving after a crash in Sheffield.

He was arrested after a collision on Oldfield Road, Stannington, just after 7.20pm yesterday (Sunday).
South Yorkshire Police said a red Peugeot 206 struck two parked cars before ploughing into a garden wall, close to the junction with Church Street.

Hide AdThe driver was arrested and taken to Northern General Hospital for treatment, where he remained last night.
Firefighters were deployed to the crash scene.
