A man arrested over a stabbing in a Sheffield park and a boy arrested after a machete was brandished nearby have both been released by the police.

A 19-year-old man was arrested after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in his shoulder at an unlicensed music event in Endcliffe Park on Friday, July 24.

The boy was treated in hospital and later discharged.

The Bradford man quizzed over the incident has been released on police bail.

He was held on suspicion of robbery.

In a separate incident outside the park, a 16-year-old Sheffield boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon after a youth was captured on mobile phone footage brandishing a machete.

He has been released under investigation.
