Lockdown fines issued in Page Hall after ‘numerous calls’ from furious neighbours
Police have handed out multiple fines to people caught breaching the coronavirus lockdown restrictions during a patrol in Page Hall last night.
Officers from the North East Neighbourhood policing team said they were patrolling Page Hall and Burngreave yesterday evening until around 2am on May 27.
During this time, they attended numerous calls to reported Covid-19 regulation breaches in both areas, with three fines issued to people in Page Hall.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson added: “Sergeant Mackey wore off a lot of rubber walking the streets of Page Hall with 16,000 steps by midnight.
“Three drivers were reported for offences and one vehicle seized. Numerous new flytips identified that have appeared over the weekend and reported to SCC (Sheffield City Council)”
Police stepped up patrols in both Page Hall and surrounding areas in recent weeks following multiple reports of residents breaching lockdown restrictions and continually flouting social-distancing rules, as well as fly-tipping and fighting in the street.
