Investigation continues into stabbing of teenager in Sheffield street

Emergency services were called in the early hours of yesterday to reports that a 19-year-old had been stabbed in the Carver Street area of the city centre.
He was taken to hospital in a serious condition at around 4.15am.

Hide AdPolice sealed off a large part of Carver Street and Division Street for enquiries and forensic examination work to be carried out.
Carver Street was taped off from West Street to Division Street, and Division street was under police guard between Carver Street and Rockingham Street.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and police patrols were stepped up in the wake of the attack.
