- The murder probe was launched in the early hours of yesterday after police received reports of an injured man on the ground on Club Garden Road, Highfield.
- Emergency services responded to calls at 2.15am and found a 28-year-old with serious injuries.

- A 30-year-old man was arrested in Sheffield on suspicion of murder and remained in police custody last night.
- The victim’s identity nor the cause of death have yet been released by South Yorkshire Police.
- A police cordon was in place where the injured man was found while enquiries were carried out yesterday.

Hide Ad- A nearby flat was also cordoned off, with officers guarding both the front and rear doors of the property.
- A window was boarded up and blood stains could be seen near to the front entrance.
- Crime scene investigation officers worked both inside and outside the flat.
- In May, a man was shot on Club Garden Road. The 53-year-old was taken to hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds to his arm and leg.

Hide Ad- Detectives have not yet revealed whether yesterday’s murder is being treated as an isolated incident or whether it was a targeted attack.
