The men were spotted by officers patrolling Wybourn yesterday and they are said to have attempted to ride off at speed.

South Yorkshire Police said the men fell off the bike and ran off, leaving officers to seize the bike, which is believed to be stolen.

The force said: “The Manor and Arbourthorne team was out patrolling around Wybourn.

“Upon seeing us, the two males riding this motorbike attempted to ride away quickly.

“Embarrassingly they both fell off without us even giving chase. They ran away before we got a chance to speak to them see if they were okay.

“If they would like to get in contact, we would love to speak to you about why you didn't want to talk to us.

“Motorbike has been recovered, suspected to be stolen.”
