Cyclist suffers broken arms and smashed teeth after being pushed from bike in Sheffield

A man was left with two broken arms and smashed teeth after he was pushed from his bike by a fellow cyclist in Sheffield.

The man, in his 50s, was cycling along Penistone Road towards Shalesmoor roundabout when he was reportedly pushed off his bike by another cyclist on Monday, April 5.

Investigating Officer, Steph Sales, said: “The victim was on his way to work at around 9.15am, when he became aware of another cyclist approaching from behind. As the second bike passed, the victim believes he was pushed, causing him to fall off his bike.

“He suffered some really nasty injuries, including two broken arms and broken teeth, and it has also left him very shaken.

“Our enquiries mean we can now release a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to about what happened. We think he might have information about the events of that morning.”
