Clever police drug dog sniffs out group carrying cannabis and Spice in Sheffield city centre

A drug dog used in an operation in Sheffield city centre found six people carrying Spice and cannabis.

South Yorkshire Police deployed drug dog Roscoe in the city centre this week to coincide with visitors returning after lockdown restrictions were eased.

As part of the operation, 18 people were stopped and searched on suspicion of theft or drug offences.

Five were referred to drug service providers for help after being found in possession of Spice and one was issued with a caution for possession of cannabis.
