Body found in Sheffield during search for missing man

Police officers searching for a missing Sheffield man have found a body.

Jamie Hague, aged 30, was last seen on Creswick Way on the Langsett estate, near Upperthorpe, at 7am yesterday.

A police search was launched when he failed to return home, with his family said to have been ‘growing increasingly concerned for his welfare’.

South Yorkshire Police revealed that a body was found near Bolsterstone Road, Bolsterstone, by officers involved in the search this morning.

Although the body has not yet been formally identified, it is believed to be that of Jamie.

In a statement, South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers looking for missing Sheffield man Jamie Hague have found a body.

“The body of a man was found near Bolsterstone Road this morning

“Formal ID has not yet taken place but officers believe it to be that of Jamie. His family have been informed and are being supported.”
