Indecent images of children, incuding one Category A, 10 Category B and 16 Category C images were also discovered, Ms Hussain added.

The court heard he initially told police he set up the cameras to see if his daughters were flooding the bathroom.

"He said he didn't delete them because he didn't know know how to," she said. "He denied doing it for sexual gratification."

Deborah Smithies, mitigating, said: "While he may say that he doesn't really care what happens to him, he is terrified of custody."

She said his family had left him since his arrest and he now lives with his parents.

"He has found it very difficult to face up to these allegations being at such a low ebb."

The 45-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to two counts of voyeurism and possessing indecent images of children, on the day of his trial.

Judge Rachael Harrison said: "My concern is that if I give him custody there is no opportunity to work with him. An order that I can make will be more effective in protecting the public."

She told him: "You have assured me that you're prepared to work with probation.

"Let me makes this clear. If you don't work with probation, if you don't engage with them, I will send you to prison for nine months."

On Wednesday, at Sheffield Crown Court, the judge imposed a three-year community order with 30 rehabilitation days and a two-month curfew, from 8pm to 5am. A Sexual Harm Prevention Order monitoring his use of the internet was also made for five years.
