These sick predatory men have all been jailed this year for rapes against women and children.
In some cases the victims were known to their assailants while others were strangers - often targeted for their vulnerabilities.
One grotesque rapist grinned while having a custody shot taken - having singled out a lone drunk woman on a city centre night out and raping her “repeatedly” in a hotel.
Another was jailed for 28 years for the sexual abuse of a young girl in Rotherham - caught and jailed as part of Operation Stovewood.
1. Adam Batley
Batley, 30, plied a 12-year-old girl with drugs and alcohol and then raped her. At the time his young and vulnerable victim was known to social services and had been reported missing. She was later found in the company of the then 28-year-old Batley. She disclosed that he had raped her while she was semi-conscious. Barnsley man Batley was jailed for nine years. | SYP
2. Ansar Younis
Younis, 41, raped an unconscious woman on a Sheffield's High Street - ignoring pleas by four girls to stop. However the horrified onlookers filmed the attack to help police catch the rapist. Younis, of Tinsley, was jailed for nine years. | SYP
3. Ilias Hassan
Hassan raped a fellow university student - ignoring her when she asked him to stop what began as consensual sex. He and his victim met in May 2023 May while the two were studying in Sheffield. A judge told him: "She told you that she needed a break but you did not respond - she spoke to you again and you kept going. “What is certain is she said it more than once and loud enough for you to hear and you ignored her.” Hassan for five years and three months. | SYP
4. Chatree Ketanan
Ketanan was jailed more than 15 years after raping a young girl multiple times. He attacked the girl while he was living in Barnsley after moving to England with his mother and stepfather. He was jailed for eight years and six months. | SYP
