These sick predatory men have all been jailed this year for rapes against women and children.
In some cases the victims were known to their assailants while others were strangers - often targeted for their vulnerabilities.
One grotesque rapist grinned while having a custody shot taken - having singled out a lone drunk woman on a city centre night out and raping her “repeatedly” in a hotel.
Another was jailed for 28 years for the sexual abuse of a young girl in Rotherham - caught and jailed as part of Operation Stovewood.

9. Neil Trennan
Convicted rapist Trennan was serving two life sentences when absconded from North Sea Camp open prison in Lincs. While on the run on July 10, last year, he broke into a Sheffield woman’s home, brandishing a knife and with the intent to sexually assault her. She fought free, knocking the knife on his hand before locking herself in the bathroom and screaming for help, at which point Trennan fled. A judge handed the defendant another life term with a minimum term of 10 years. | SYP

10. Riyasth Hussain
Hussain raped a 13-year-old girl who had been "passed on from one man to another" from the age of 11 in Rotherham. Sheffield Crown Court heard how he would rape her "at any opportunity" and then "chuck me away like I was nothing". Hussain was charged and convicted as part of the National Crime Agency’s (NCA) Operation Stovewood - investigating non-familial child sexual exploitation and abuse carried out in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013. The probe also identified Hussain as responsible for another rape in 2008 when a woman in her 20s was attacked in a room while she was staying with a friend. Hussain was jailed for 28 years. | SYP
