A bling-loving drug peddler who flooded a rural Sheffield community with cocaine, ketamine and cannabis has been jailed.

When girlfriend Lily Tuckwood got wind Bartle, 22, had been arrested she rushed to ditch the drugs and weapons she knew were lurking at his Hillsborough address.

However police caught the 23-year-old loading the gear into a white Mercedes and she was arrested.

Judge Anthony Dunne told the former trainee nurse the “profits” of Bartle’s dealing would have “flowed” her way.

He told Bartle drugs do “serious harm” not only to those who use them but also their “friends and families”.

James Baird, prosecuting, described how Bartle was arrested and searched coming out of a shop when police saw him driving an Audi S3 on Knowles Avenue, Deepcar.

He said: “Among items seized were two mobile phones and approximately £1,500 in cash found in a wallet in what was described as a man bag.

“He was wearing a gold chain, a Rolex Submariner watch and had a one-ounce silver bar along with a CS gas canister.

“He was arrested on suspicion that he had been operating a drugs line - it involved the offer to supply cocaine, ketamine and cannabis between March 31, 2025 and the day of his arrest, October 28.

“After being transferred to Barnsley custody suite he was searched and five full bags of cocaine were recovered from his boxer shorts,” said Mr Baird.

He described how at 3pm the same day officers arrived at Bartle’s home address on Carlton Road, Hillsborough, to catch his girlfriend Lily Tuckwood attempting rid the house of the evidence.

He said: “They observed her exiting with a red bag for life which she put into a white Mercedes - there were zip-sealed bags containing 0.5-gram deals of cocaine with a street value of £4,900.

“Also present was cannabis in a freezer bag worth £2,870. In the back of the car were three stun guns.”

A search of the house also uncovered a bag of gold and silver and various jewellery items .

While mobile phone showed Bartle offering to “drop off” drugs and deals for “multiple purchase.

A search of his Facebook account - in which he nicknamed himself “Corban Bartle Gold” - linked him to drug users in Stocksbridge, with offers to supply drugs on credit.

Evidence gathered detailed another online conversation in which the defendant offered tasers for sale at £600 each.

Mr Baird said: “Miss Tuckwood’s phone was recovered and she was messaging others after being made aware Mr Bartle had been arrested and was anxious to remove the drugs from their home before the police arrived.”

The court heard Bartle had one previous conviction for possession with intent to supply cannabis and the latest dealing put him in breach of a suspended sentence. Tuckwood was of good character.

Dermot Hughes, Bartle’s barrister said his client had matured “rapidly” in custody and had applied himself to “every course available” while there.

“He is a young man and knows he has committed serious offences - he is doing whatever he can to put right the wrongs of his past,” said Mr Hughes.

Tuckwood’s barrister David Hewitt said the trainee nurse’s career was “on hold” as she now had some “very unattractive” convictions - however she had nothing to do with Bartle’s “broader criminality”.

Bartle, of Willow Road, Stocksbridge, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine, ketamine and cannabis, acquiring criminal property and possessing prohibited weapons.

Tuckwood, of Hyacinth Close, Wincobank, Sheffield, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine, ketamine and cannabis and possessing prohibited weapons.

Judge Dunne told Bartle he had taken into account the defendant’s strong mitigation, however he added: “You have to bear in mind that drugs of the kind you were selling cause serious and lasting harm.

“Both to those who use them and the friends and relatives of those who use them and the community at large.

“It’s an unfortunate fact that people such as yourself deal drugs because it appears there are profits to be made and you clearly were having success realising substantial profits.”

Telling Tuckwood her dashed career plans were a “tragedy”, the judge noted her involvement was a result of her relationship with Bartle.

He jailed her for 26 months suspended for 30 months and handed her 240 hours of unpaid work.
