They had on trial at Sheffield Crown Court since Monday, May 11, 2026, accused of a total of 21 offences between them, with both men charged with multiple counts of rape and trafficking charges. They entered not guilty pleas to the charges.

The jury of seven men and four women returned verdicts today (Tuesday, June 9, 2026).

Harwe, aged 28, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of:

  • Four counts of rape
  • One count of rape of a child under 13
  • Two counts of meeting a child following sexual grooming
  • Two counts of false imprisonment

One of the complainants, Girl E, was 12 at the time of the alleged offending.

Under the law, it is not possible for a person to consent to sex until they reach the age of 13 and Harwe has previously admitted a charge of rape in relation to her.

Muhamadi, aged 21, of Hexthorpe Road, Doncaster, was found guilty of:

A sentencing hearing is now due to take place on Thursday (June 11, 2026).

The jury spent six hours and 20 minutes deliberating, before returning their verdicts.

Part-way through the trial, Muhamadi stopped attending court.

After verdicts were returned, Judge Wright lifted a reporting restriction meaning it is now possible to reveal that she has issued a bench warrant for Muhamadi’s arrest, and he remains “at large.”

Judge Sarah Wright discharged the jury and thanked them for their public service.

“Thank you to you. No-one should underestimate the task you have had to undertake in this case,” she said.

Opening the case against Harwe last month, prosecutor Claire Holmes said: “The defendant Harwe contacted some of these young girls using the messaging system Snapchat.

“Contact having been made he, Harwe typically offered the girls money, alcohol, drugs and or E cigarettes as incentives to meet.

“When they met Harwe engaged in sexual intercourse with all but one of them.”

Ms Holmes said the “very young girls” were “groomed, plied with alcohol and various drugs” which were used to effectively bribe them to submit to various sexual indignities.”

One of the girls “blacked out” after being given alcohol by Harwe, while another was “sick down his bed,” the jury were told.

Ms Holmes continued: “If those means did not achieve their goals then the girls were intimidated in various ways, for example not being allowed to leave where they were until Harwe had been sexually satisfied.”
