Arsonists strike in incident on Samuel Road, near Norfolk Park, Sheffield

Firefighters were called out after arsonists set rubbish alight on a Sheffield street last night.

A pile of rubbish had been set on fire on a grass verge at Samuel Road, near Norfolk Park, at around 10.30pm.

Firefighters from Sheffield’s Central Fire Station used a hose reel to put the fire out, and were on the scene for around 20 minutes.

Firefighters have urged people to report anything they know about deliberate fire-setting via their FireStoppers service.
