These fantastic pups are waiting patiently in South Yorkshire for someone to scoop them up, and this week they include some of the UK’s best loved breeds.
How about Lokei and Toby, a pair of terriers with a very special bond - Lokei is almost completely blind, but Toby is glued to his side and looks after him every day!
Maybe you can help them get out and enjoy the world together?
Or how about Freddie, a Norfolk Terrier who needs a retirement home of his own. He’s a very affectionate boy and loves being the centre of attention even in his golden years. Can you offer him a slower pace of life?
Or there’s Jerry the beagle - a “very greedy” boy on a diet who cannot be left alone in the kitchen. But he is a sweet and affectionate boy with plenty of Beagle character!
Each of the pictures below comes with a link to their adoption page at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary - could you offer any of them a home?
In the meantime, enjoy these 16 marvellous pups looking for a forever home.

9. Buddy the Yorkshire Terrier - a "complicated little character" looking for his one and only
"Buddy is a complicated little character and needs a specific type of home. He is most suited to live with one single occupant, as Buddy has always struggled to build bonds with multiple people, always showing a preference to one. He is incredibly loyal, loving and affectionate once he trusts you, however Buddy has been let down by previous adopters exposing him to too much too soon, and environment too busy for him to cope with. It is essential he is adopted by an experienced, patient, loving adopter that is willing to go at BUDDY’S pace. If you would like to know more about little Buddy please get in touch, we will only consider single occupant homes." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/buddy/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

10. Terrier Tom the Jack Russel - full of energy and very fun!
"Terrier Tom is your very typical JRT – full of energy and very fun! Tom arrived with another dog (Jerry the beagle) but the pair have very different needs – Tom is an active chap, that would thrive in a terrier savvy home. He can be vocal on the lead, depending on the other dog so would prefer access to quieter walks initially and to introduce other dogs once he has decompressed! He could live with teens+ is clean in his kennel and loves people." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/tom/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

11. Jerry the loveable and 'extremely greedy' beagle
"Jerry is a lovable Beagle who has recently come into our care as a stray, alongside his friend Tom, a JRT. Although they arrived together, both boys have different needs and we feel they would be best suited to finding separate forever homes. Jerry is a sweet and affectionate boy with plenty of Beagle character. Jerry is extremely greedy (currently on a diet) he must not be permitted access to the kitchen area as he will no doubt try to eat everything! He could live with teens+ He has strong beagle traits so breed knowledge is essential." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/jerry/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

12. Zeus the 'typical cheeky French Bulldog'
"Zeus is a very typical cheeky French Bulldog. He has had a lot of upheaval in the last few Months, so would thrive in a quiet, adult only environment where he can start again. He can be a little shy at first, past this he is incredibly affectionate and loves fuss. He is comfortable being left alone for several hours and travels well in the car. Zeus is very fearful of lorries! so cannot live on a main / busy Road." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/zeus/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
