These fantastic pups are waiting patiently in South Yorkshire for someone to scoop them up, and this week they include some of the UK’s best loved breeds.
How about Lokei and Toby, a pair of terriers with a very special bond - Lokei is almost completely blind, but Toby is glued to his side and looks after him every day!
Maybe you can help them get out and enjoy the world together?
Or how about Freddie, a Norfolk Terrier who needs a retirement home of his own. He’s a very affectionate boy and loves being the centre of attention even in his golden years. Can you offer him a slower pace of life?
Or there’s Jerry the beagle - a “very greedy” boy on a diet who cannot be left alone in the kitchen. But he is a sweet and affectionate boy with plenty of Beagle character!
Each of the pictures below comes with a link to their adoption page at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary - could you offer any of them a home?
In the meantime, enjoy these 16 marvellous pups looking for a forever home.

1. Tilly the Lurcher, a nervous girl who needs a 'quiet, loving, sighthound savvy' owner
"Experienced foster / forever home needed for sensitive Tilly. Tilly arrived into our care as a young girl who had lived a very sheltered and sad life – she was adopted by a family who have tried to build her confidence but Tilly has struggled and come back to us at Thornberry. We would love to find her a quiet, loving, sighthound savvy, experienced home to decompress, build trust and enjoy life again. If you think that could be you please contact us. She is not comfortable with other dogs directly so it must be pet free." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/tilly/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

2. Laurie the blind Bedlington x Jack Russell Terrier
"Laurie is completely blind! Special home required for our special boy Laurie. Sadly Laurie lost his vision shortly after arriving and is learning how to navigate life in a new way. He would love to adjust to a home where he has access to a relaxing space, be spoiled with toys and relax in a secure private garden. Laurie is understandably worried when meeting new people and does not like over handling, so a calm and understanding hands off home is essential for our boy to thrive. If you are open minded and willing to adapt for this wonderful boy please enquire. Laurie cannot live with other pets or children." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/laurie/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

3. Frankie the 'live wire' whippet-size lurcher
"Frankie is a live wire!!! Full of beans and eager to please. He is a wild child that would benefit from an experienced home that are prepared to keep him stimulated, enriched and provide plenty of fun. He would be a great companion for hikes and exploring, an active home is absolutely essential for him. He arrived as a stray and is incredibly bouncy, so definitely needs on going training and much needed manners! He could live with teens+" - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/frankie/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

4. Duke the gentle giant greyhound
"Duke is an incredibly affectionate boy who would lean against you all day given the chance. He’s very typical of the breed and will mostly be found upside down in his bed! Duke is very playful and loves toys! He is a real gentle giant and will make the perfect member of a sighthound loving family. He is clean in his kennel and walks nicely on the lead. Duke is good with other dogs on walks but would prefer to be a solo dog with all the attention to himself. He could live with children aged 10+" - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/duke/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
