This week’s line up of dogs waiting for a home in South Yorkshire are such a characterful bunch.
Thornberry Animal Sanctuary and Helping Yorkshire Poundies have got another stunning round up of pups looking for a couch to curl up on for good - will you take on home?
How about Chilli, who Thornberry Animal Sanctuary say is a Pomeranian cross - so unlike your typical Pom, he is about as big as a Labrador.
Or there’s Meg the Jack Russell Terrier, who at 12 years old is looking for her retirement home.
Take a look at these 13 dogs up for rehoming in South Yorkshire in our gallery below, where you can also find a link to their adoption page.

9. Meet Lady the Cocker Spaniel - "an incredibly affectionate, loyal and loving girl"
"Lovely Lady arrived in our care as a heavily pregnant stray. After spending some time in foster care, she sadly lost all of her puppies. Lady is an incredibly affectionate, loyal and loving girl who adores spending time with her people. She has lots of love to give and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a devoted best friend. She still has plenty of energy and is thoroughly enjoying getting out and about on long walks with our dog walkers. Lady is good with other dogs and can happily socialise with them out and about. However, she does love having all the attention to herself, so she’d prefer to be the centre of attention in her new home. Visiting dogs shouldn’t be a problem, provided she still gets plenty of fuss and affection! She could live with children aged 10 and over. Lady is not yet fully housetrained, so she’ll need a little patience, understanding and help with this as she settles into her new home." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/lady/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

10. Sid the Lurcher x Saluki, "a loving happy boy with plenty of energy"
"Sid is an affectionate boy who has recently come into our care and is now looking for his forever home. He is a loving, happy boy with plenty of energy and absolutely loves his walks and toys. As he is going through his adolescent stage, he would benefit from a family who can continue his training, particularly with lead walking and helping him manage his excitement. He would suit an active home and could live with older teens. He would be best as the only dog in the home but would benefit from slow introductions and socialisation with other dogs overtime." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/sid/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

11. Buddy the Yorkshire Terrier - a "complicated little character" looking for his one and only
"Buddy is a complicated little character and needs a specific type of home. He is most suited to live with one single occupant, as Buddy has always struggled to build bonds with multiple people, always showing a preference to one. He is incredibly loyal, loving and affectionate once he trusts you, however Buddy has been let down by previous adopters exposing him to too much too soon, and environment too busy for him to cope with. It is essential he is adopted by an experienced, patient, loving adopter that is willing to go at BUDDY’S pace. If you would like to know more about little Buddy please get in touch, we will only consider single occupant homes." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/buddy/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

12. Frankie the 'live wire' whippet-size lurcher
"Frankie is a live wire!!! Full of beans and eager to please. He is a wild child that would benefit from an experienced home that are prepared to keep him stimulated, enriched and provide plenty of fun. He would be a great companion for hikes and exploring, an active home is absolutely essential for him. He arrived as a stray and is incredibly bouncy, so definitely needs on going training and much needed manners! He could live with teens+" - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/frankie/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
