This week’s line up of dogs waiting for a home in South Yorkshire are such a characterful bunch.
Thornberry Animal Sanctuary and Helping Yorkshire Poundies have got another stunning round up of pups looking for a couch to curl up on for good - will you take on home?
How about Chilli, who Thornberry Animal Sanctuary say is a Pomeranian cross - so unlike your typical Pom, he is about as big as a Labrador.
Or there’s Meg the Jack Russell Terrier, who at 12 years old is looking for her retirement home.
Take a look at these 13 dogs up for rehoming in South Yorkshire in our gallery below, where you can also find a link to their adoption page.

1. Meg the elderly Jack Russell Terrier who is "friends with everyone she meets"
"Meg the Jack Russell is approx 12 yrs old and is now ready to find her perfect home who know and love Terriers. She has been through a lot but thanks to the care of her foster family, she has come a long way. Meg loves people, and is very friendly with everyone she meets. So much so that she really panics when she’s on her own, and struggles being left at all, so she needs a home who can manage this to avoid having to leave her. She travels well, and loves her walks. She walks well on lead. Other dogs she needs a slow introduction to – some she can be snappy with and doesn’t really appreciate dogs in her space, so she needs to be the only dog in her home. Meg is definitely a no to cats/small furries – she’s a typical Terrier! Meg really is so sweet and we really need to get her settled into her forever home." - https://helpingyorkshirepoundies.co.uk/female/meg/ | HYP

2. Chilli the Pomeranian crossbreed puppy - a "cheeky chappy" who's full of character
"Chilli is a cheeky chappy, who arrived as an unclaimed stray. He’s full of character and would thrive in a home who are familiar with pomeranians and their traits. He can be vocal, particularly around other dogs as he’s a bit confused as to how to say hi! Chilli will suit a household who can offer him routine and introduce him to what a warm and loving, safe home has to offer. He could live with teens 14+ who are doggy savvy! He is clean in his kennel." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/chilli/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

3. Roly the "10-years-young" pug cross - "the happiest little chap"
"Roly the Pug cross is 10 years young and looking for his perfect home. He is the happiest little chap and super friendly with everyone he meets and is a proper little character! Nobody told Roly that he’s a ‘senior’! He’s a giddy, playful little boy who loves nothing more than giving kisses and having cuddles! He is in good health for his age, and still loves a nice walk, but he won’t be able to do any long hikes! Roly is very good around the house – he is housetrained, settles well, and can be left on his own for a few hours with no issues. He can happily live with another dog, but is not cat tested. He can be rehomed with children over 10. He is just an all round good boy who deserves a 5* home who will treasure him." - https://helpingyorkshirepoundies.co.uk/male/roly/ | HYP

4. "Amazing" Lyla the Bully - "cheeky, playful and hilarious"
"Love bull breeds?? Then meet the amazing Lyla!! She is approx 3 yrs old and urgently needs a home. Lyla is a typical Bully who loves everyone she meets and loves attention – she’s cheeky, playful, hilarious and has so much character. Lyla can be a strong girl if she pulls on lead, so needs someone used to bull breeds who is confident in handling her, but generally she walks quite well and isn’t actually a super high energy girl. She isn’t dog friendly, and needs a dog/pet free home with direct access to a fully secure garden. Please don’t let this put you off Lyla as she is very manageable and just needs someone who is used to bull breeds. She has been around children with no issues, but can be a bit boisterous at times when she’s excited, so she will do best in a calmer home with older children upwards. Lyla just needs to be given a chance – she would absolutely love to be someone’s Princess." - https://helpingyorkshirepoundies.co.uk/female/lyla/ | HYP
