What a gorgeous bunch we have in this week’s line up of dogs looking for a new home at South Yorkshire’s Thornberry Animal Sanctuary.
Have you ever seen a husky crossed with a poodle? The result is Keeva, an astounding pup with the most unique face - she loves other dogs and her favourite people - can you help her get over her initial nerves?
There’s also Heidi, a squishy Dachshund x Terrier cross who at nine years young is looking for a fresh start. She thrives on attention and loves a good belly rub.
Or maybe you have room for not one but two fabulous pups in your home? Tom and Jerry are a bonded Jack Russell Terrier and Beagle duo with a special connection who were tragically found tied to a tree together. Who will take in this unlikely pair and give them the live together they deserve?
Take a look at our gallery below, where you’ll also find a link to each dog’s adoption page with Thornberry Animal Sanctuary.

5. Meet Mylo the Patterdale, an older boy who loves attention
"Mylo is an older Patterdale who has come into our care following the very sad passing of his owner. Mylo has come into our care with a few medical concerns involving his eyes, ears and skin, which are currently being investigated and managed with the support of our veterinary team. Therefore, he is looking for a home nearby to the sanctuary that are confident in administering medication and committed to his ongoing care. Despite everything he has been through, Mylo is an incredibly affectionate boy who absolutely loves attention. He still enjoys getting out for a decent walk and is ready to show that age certainly hasn’t stopped him enjoying life. Mylo would be best suited to a home where he can be the only pet and could live with teenagers and above." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/mylo/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

6. Heidi, the Dachshund x Terrier who thrives on attention
"Heidi is a Dachshund cross who came into our care as a stray and is now ready to start looking for her forever home. Heidi is an incredibly affectionate girl who really thrives on attention and being close to her handlers. She can be a little timid when she first meets people, but she quickly learns to trust and shows just how loving she can be once she feels comfortable. Heidi absolutely loves a good belly rub and is always happy to settle down in a cosy bed. She is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can continue to build her confidence while enjoying plenty of affection and companionship. Heidi could potentially live with a calm, similar-sized dog and could live with teenagers and above." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/heidi/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

7. Fern, a "fun, energetic" girl looking for a fresh start
"Fern is a lovely Jack Russell Terrier who has come into our care after sadly not getting along with the other dog in her previous home. She is now looking for a fresh start and a forever home where she can truly thrive. Fern absolutely loves people and is a fun, energetic girl with plenty of personality. She enjoys getting out and about and particularly loves her walks, so she is looking for an active family who can keep her entertained and give her plenty of opportunities to burn off her energy. Fern is looking for a home where she can be the only pet, allowing her to have all the attention to herself. She could potentially live with children aged 12 and over." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/fern/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

8. Tom & Jerry - a Jack Russell Terrier and Beagle duo with a special bond
"Tom and Jerry may be very different in breed, but share a special bond. These two were sadly found tied to a tree together, and although they are completely different breeds, it quickly became clear that they have formed a strong attachment to one another. Following further assessment, we feel that Tom and Jerry would benefit from being rehomed together. Jerry, in particular, looks to Tom for reassurance and confidence, especially when out on walks. We are therefore looking for a very special family who are happy to take on this unlikely pair together and give them both the love, patience and stability they deserve. Together, they are best suited to a home where they can be the only pets. They could live with older teenagers who understand the importance of giving them time and space to settle into their new surroundings." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/tom-and-jerry/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
