What a gorgeous bunch we have in this week’s line up of dogs looking for a new home at South Yorkshire’s Thornberry Animal Sanctuary.
Have you ever seen a husky crossed with a poodle? The result is Keeva, an astounding pup with the most unique face - she loves other dogs and her favourite people - can you help her get over her initial nerves?
There’s also Heidi, a squishy Dachshund x Terrier cross who at nine years young is looking for a fresh start. She thrives on attention and loves a good belly rub.
Or maybe you have room for not one but two fabulous pups in your home? Tom and Jerry are a bonded Jack Russell Terrier and Beagle duo with a special connection who were tragically found tied to a tree together. Who will take in this unlikely pair and give them the live together they deserve?
Take a look at our gallery below, where you’ll also find a link to each dog’s adoption page with Thornberry Animal Sanctuary.

1. Caramel the Chihuahua x Pug - help her overcome her frustration on leads and welcome her onto your lap
"Sadly Caramel has been returned into our care after being adopted for 2 years. She is a sweet little girl who has had so much upheaval in her short life – despite being small Caramel is easily frustrated when exercising on lead and can be reactive if she is overwhelmed. She interacts well with dogs once introduced, so would really thrive from adopters that have an understanding of lead frustration / willing to support Caramel with this. She is incredibly loving once she has a bond with you and loves to be close to you, ideally on your lap! she is house trained, crate trained and can be left for several hours. She could live with children aged 12+ and could be introduced to younger visitors." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/caramel/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

2. Buddy the Yorkshire Terrier - a "complicated little character" looking for his one and only
"Buddy is a complicated little character and needs a specific type of home. He is most suited to live with one single occupant, as Buddy has always struggled to build bonds with multiple people, always showing a preference to one. He is incredibly loyal, loving and affectionate once he trusts you, however Buddy has been let down by previous adopters exposing him to too much too soon, and environment too busy for him to cope with. It is essential he is adopted by an experienced, patient, loving adopter that is willing to go at BUDDY’S pace. If you would like to know more about little Buddy please get in touch, we will only consider single occupant homes." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/buddy/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

3. Keeva the Husky x Poodle! A unique breed and a unique girl
"Keeva is a young girl, who absolutely loves other dogs and her favourite people. She can initially be shy, especially of men however has really improved with her general confidence since arriving and would love to continue to meet safe, new people once adopted. She loves other dogs, and would do exceptionally well if living with another confident play friend! Because of her nerves she is not suitable to live with children. She walks nicely on the lead, is house trained and travels well in the car (perfect for adventures)" - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/keeva/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

4. Zues the Frenchie - earn his trust and he'll shower you in attention
"Zeus is a French Bulldog looking for a breed-experienced home with people who understand the breed and are prepared to support him with his individual needs. Zeus can be an incredibly affectionate and loving boy once he knows you, but he can find meeting new people a little difficult and will need a patient home that is willing to give him the time and support he needs to feel comfortable. We are looking for a strictly adult-only home for Zeus. His new family should have an understanding of French Bulldogs and be committed to helping him build confidence and form positive relationships at his own pace." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/zeus/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
