These 10 wiggly, smiley dogs are pulling the most loving faces while patiently waiting for their new owners.
They are waiting with the kind folks at South Yorkshire charities such as Helping Yorkshire Poundies, Thornberry Animal Sanctuary, the RSPCA and Blue Cross for someone to snap them up.
They include Skye the Husky - “affectionate, intelligent and full of character,” this beautiful girl would love opportunities to socialise with other dogs in time.
There’s also Arlo, a cocker spaniel pictured showing off his belly, which Blue Cross say is his signature move to those he trusts.
Or maybe you could bring home Matthew, an “active, inquisitive and bouncy” young Lurcher who will give his new owners a daily dose of Lurcher Zoomies.
You can find a link to their adoption pages in each of the pictures below. In the meantime, enjoy having a look at these 10 endearing dogs.

1. Alice the Staffy Crossbreed, who requests a chauffeur to go for walkies , please and thank you
"Helping Yorkshire PoundiesSaving dogs on death row Donate Other ways to donate Post navigation ← Previous ALICE Lovely Alice is a 4 yr old Crossbreed (possibly Staffy/Bulldog) – she is medium sized and weighs around 23kg, so she is not a big girl. Alice is such a sweet, cuddly and affectionate girl who absolutely adores people – a typical Staffy type who is happiest snuggling up to a human on the sofa! She also LOVES to play with her toys – tennis balls are her favourite!! Alice is great around the house – she is housetrained and can be left for a few hours with no issues. She absolutely LOVES travelling in the car – it seems to make her feel safe and secure when she’s in the car. She does have some insecurities with walking – this is where her nerves kick in. She is currently too nervous to go for a walk directly from the house – we think that she finds street walks too busy and she will put the brakes on and pull to get back home. She is happier being driven from the house to quieter areas – she would love access to a secure private off lead field for her walkies, or just to quiet areas. We really hope that someone special out there will see Alice for the amazing, loving, playful sweet girl that she is, and can understand and support her with her worries of being out of the house on her walks. She really has SO much love to give her new family." - https://helpingyorkshirepoundies.co.uk/female/alice/ | HYP

2. Gwen the terrier crossbreed - "Don't let her photo fool you!"
"Don’t let her photo fool you—Gwen is a medium-sized Terrier weighing 14.5kg. She has come into our care from the stray kennels and can be a little anxious when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar surroundings. Once Gwen gets to know you, she quickly forms a strong bond and absolutely loves attention and affection from her main carers. She would thrive in a calm and patient home where she can settle in at her own pace. Gwen could potentially live with another calm, well-mannered dog, subject to a successful meet and greet. She could also live with calm children aged 12+" - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/gwen/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

3. Roxy the Roder Terrier x Lakeland - build some trust and discover how affectionate she is
"Roxy has sadly come into our sanctuary after finding it difficult to live alongside another dog in her previous home. She can be a little nervous when meeting new people and may be quite vocal at first, but with a little patience and understanding, she soon forms strong bonds. Once she trusts you, Roxy is incredibly friendly and affectionate. While Roxy needs to be the only dog in her home, she is able to enjoy walks and socialise with calm, well-mannered dogs outside of the home. Roxy would thrive in a loving, patient home with older teenagers aged 16 and over, where she can settle at her own pace." - https://www.thornberryanimalsanctuary.org/animals/roxy/ | Thornberry Animal Sanctuary

4. Skye the husky - "Affectionate, intelligent, and full of character"
"Skye is a beautiful Husky with a fun-loving personality and a real passion for making friends. She can be very enthusiastic when she first spots another dog, but this excitement quickly settles into lovely social skills. Once she reaches them, she's polite, friendly and often greets with a sniff or a gentle face lick before happily carrying on her way. She would love a home that will continue to give her positive opportunities to socialise with other dogs on walks. Affectionate, intelligent and full of character, Skye is ready to find a family to share her next adventure with." - https://www.bluecross.org.uk/pet/skye-1187471 | Blue Cross
