Yorkshire brewery Vocation and Co announces sudden closure of Sheffield city centre pub
“To the many who have visited, shared a beer with us and supported Vocation Sheffield over the years, thank you”
A Sheffield city centre bar is shutting up shop after a shock announcement the day of its closure.
Vocation and Co Sheffield officially closes on Friday, November 6.

Located on Division Street, the pub offered food and a selection of beers from the Hebden Bridge-based brewery Vocation and Co.
However, in a surprise announcement the brewery revealed they will be closing the Sheffield venue.
In a statement on Instagram at 5pm on Friday, the company wrote: “To the many who have visited, shared a beer with us and supported Vocation Sheffield over the years, thank you.
“After much careful thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to permanently close the bar from Friday, November 6.
“We’re putting more of our focus into our brewery, expanding our core range of beers and making Vocation easier to find in pubs, bars, bottle shops and supermarkets across Yorkshire, the UK and beyond
“If you’re after the Vocation bar experience, you can still visit our flagship bar in Hebden Bridge. It remains a big part of Vocation, with plenty more bold beers to come.
“To everyone who’s been part of this bar’s story, raised a glass with us and made it what it is, cheers. It really has meant a lot.”
The brewery also run a pub in Halifax, which is set to close on November 6 as well.
That venue released an almost identical statement announcing its closure.
Vocation and Co was originally founded in 2015 by John Hickling.
