These are the 12 hospitality businesses that will have to close at 10pm

The Prime Minister has today announced places including pubs, restaurants and casinos must close by 10pm starting on Thursday – here is the full list.

Boris Johnson has announced tougher coronavirus restrictions which include a 10pm curfew on hospitality businesses.

Anuncilg the changes, the Prime Minister said: “I know that this approach – robust but proportionate – already carries the support of all the main parties in parliament.”

The list of places which must be closed between 10pm and 5am, includes:

Businesses selling food or drink (including cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants),

Social clubs, casinos, bowling alleys, amusement arcades (and other indoor leisure centres or facilities)

Funfairs, theme parks, and adventure parks and activities

Bingo halls

This will include take-aways but delivery services can continue after 10pm. (from September 24 ).

As well as 10pm closing for pubs and bars, there must be table service only.

Cinemas and other venues which show performances will have slightly different rules

These venues can remain open for the duration of a performance which had already started before 10pm, for example, a film.

But they won't be allowed to serve food or drink to customers after 10pm.

More fines could be imposed on those disobeying the rules with on-the-spot closures for venues that fail to follow them.

The new rules also include expanding the use of face coverings, with increased fines for those that fail to comply and asking office workers to work from home if they can.
