The famous Sheffield pork sandwich shop Béres has announced details of its latest city centre premises.

Bosses of the long-running chain have also revealed they are keen to take their business to Meadowhall.

The company told how it had just signed to take over the former Herbert Brown jewellery shop on Pinstone Street and should move in by the end of March.

Their new branch is a short hop from one of their existing shops but the firm explained that is due to be demolished to build a planned 25-storey tower.

“This shop will be bigger and better,” it added.

In news that will further delight fans, the firm responded to one customer who asked ‘any chance of you opening one in Meadowhall’ by saying ‘we’re trying’.

Béres was founded by Eileen and Sandor Béres in 1961 and now has 12 branches.
