“The school remains open and your child should continue to attend if they remain well.”

Newfield School in Norton Lees has also announced a case.

In its letter to parents and carers, the school did not advise which year group is affected but said all the children who need to self-isolate will have been contacted individually.

There are now dozens of schools across Sheffield and South Yorkshire with confirmed Covid-19 cases since children returned after the coronavirus closures and summer break.
