International fashion chain H&M leaves premium Sheffield street Fargate without warning
It’s a blow to the city centre street
An international fashion chain has closed on a premium street in Sheffield city centre.
H&M shut down on Fargate without warning after more than 10 years.

The business had been at 49 Fargate since at least 2016. Signs have appeared on the windows announcing the closure and publicising its sister store on The Moor.
The closure comes days after the closure of O2 and Starbucks on Fargate.
A large Costa cafe is opening next door to the former H&M, in the former HSBC bank unit, on Saturday.
And a pizza parlour is set to open in the former T4 bubble tea cafe, next to Vision Express.
It will be an American Pizza Slice, property agent Paul Lancaster told The Star.
Other recent food business to open on Fargate are Spud Bros, Chopstix and Burger King.
