Sheffield Wednesday extended their unbeaten run over the weekend as they beat Accrington Stanley on the road.

The Owls are now six unbeaten in League One after Alex Mighten’s goal gave them a 1-0 victory at Wham Stadium, a victory that took them to within a point of second-placed Ipswich Town and the automatic places.

Wednesday have started the season strongly as they seek promotion out of the division at the second time of asking, but there is also an eye on the future as a number of contracts head into their final six months – one of which being young midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
