The 21-year-old has come on leaps and bounds in an Owls shirt this season, hitting new heights in terms of his direct goal contributions, and fans have become increasingly excited about his future potential.

But if the club can’t get things wrapped up in the next six weeks then there is certainly a chance that the midfielder is contacted from clubs outside of England, all of whom can sign him up on a pre-contract in January for the end of his current deal.

The Star has previously reported of interest from Turkey with Besiktas and Antalyaspor, and now it is understood that Eredisivie outfit, PSV, have joined his list of admirers as they continue to keep tabs on his progress.

Darren Moore has said previously that the club are hopeful of tying him down to a new deal, however talks have been ongoing for some time now and it’s thought that there are still key elements in the discussions that haven’t been agreed upon yet.

Dele-Bashiru explained earlier this year that he would definitely be open to sticking around if the deal was right, and over the summer Wednesday rejected approaches from Blackpool for his services. They turned down a six-figure sum from the Tangerines.

It’s understood that there are hopes to make significant progress before November is out, however the closer it gets to January the more concerned they’ll be about the prospect of a similar situation to that of Liam Shaw when he agreed a pre-contract with Celtic.
